Graphi-iti’s New Image

Web page

Greetings everyone. I just create the new template for Graphic-iti. The process was a little hard, but when one is inspired, one sees the challenges in another perspective. One wants to conquer them in order to grow professionally and personally.

I entrusted myself to create a wordpress template to express, in my opinion, the thought process and inspirations behind each designer when working on a project. The first thing I did was look for literature about the technical process. My friend, Dieppa (http://www.di3ppa.com) sent me an e-mail containing step by step instructions on how to create a template. The tutorial is published in Web Designer Wall. After reading the instructions, and see that I was able to make the template, I began to do the design.

I searched several photos, I had an idea that I wanted a photo montage. I started with images of the city. I believe cities are a place for inspiration, although I live in the countryside and do not envy city life. Then I looked for images of music and musical equipment. I use music while working as a means of relaxation and to stimulate creativity. Finally I did a search for materials that are used: Macs, Tablets, among others. When I began to assemble the images, I noticed that it lacked color. I remembered Adobe® CS3’s super colorful packaging. I did a search and got the Master Collection packaging.

Once the header was done, I made a page layout in Photoshop®. I defined the columns, spacing, colors and size in this step. Once satisfied, I started to cut the images to be used in HTML. After that, I opened a document in Dreamweaver® and started doing the HTML and CSS. The important thing at this stage is to use the same names used in the tutorial. This will avoid a lot of work. Another note is to create separate column and not to use negative margins to place columns side by side. My suggestion is, after having gone through the experience, is to use the HTML from the tutorial and change theCSS and images to your liking.

Already completed the process of creating the HTML, I proceeded to do the phps. Follow the instructions to the letter will guarantee you finalize this step in no time. Finally upload the template. Navigate your blog to see if everything is how its supposed to be. If you see any anomaly, just alter theCSS. If your blog has “widgets”, the tutorial of php is not able to cope. Do not be frustrated. Follow these instructions (scroll down to My sidebar isn’t a list. What do I do?) and with a bit of code in the sidebar.php everything is solved.

I hope you like the new template and continue to colaborate with Graphic-iti.com.
