In a world so full of competition, a cover letter helps set you apart from the rest. There are many way to write a cover letter. But keep in mind that it isn’t a science, if you can master ADOBE programs, you can successfully write a good cover letter.

Filling out your resume with valuable information is a daunting task. Your resume should have detailed information about you aptitude toward a position without being and auto-biography. Graphic designers resume have a variety of categories. The following is a list of categories no graphic designer should leave out of their resume.

There is much debate whether a designer’s resume should or should not be stylized. Although I will not try to convince you on stylizing you resume, I will give you a few tips in good resume design.

A cover letter is an invitation to read your resume. You resume highlight your experience and to demonstrate your qualities as the right person for the job. But your portfolio is the most important aspect of your job hunt. Its sole purpose is to catch the hiring manager’s attention and get you the interview or job. With so much depending on your portfolio, one may be tempted to do many of the very things hiring personnel frown upon in a portfolio.
